Dremel question??

I have a corded Dremel Multipro 275, its an older model but still going strong.I also bought the LED light attachment which screws right on the front and puts light right on whatever you are working on.

I want to buy a Dremel for customizing Mego figures....anyone know what model I should buy????.....I want to able to use it for cutting, sanding.
Is the cordless one any good?

Hey Jackson. I use the black and decker knock off myself. Sorry I have it buried somewhere and cant give you the #s. But just because it works for me doesnt mean its the best for you. I'd goto the stores and see if they have a hands on display. you know so you can pick it up and get a feel for it. Find out first hand if it work for you r hand type. Lastly I can tell you from experience. Small battery powered dremils are nice because they re compact and seem easy to work with but the batterys die fast. spare batterys cost alot and sooner or later the recharge fails and your out of the game perminantly. When this happened to me Dremil's answer was well just buy a whole new outfit. as my old one was discontinued.

If u want to do sawing, you might want to get a plug in one although I haven't used their new line of battery operated ones (I have an older model)....

For more than 13 years now the corded Dremel Multi Pro Model 395 has been my friend, my companion, my trusty partner in customizing, my virtual right hand.

There is not a single custom toy I've ever worked on or created where I didn't need its splendid services.

I would never use anything else. I consider my Dremel a virtual member of the family.

Hmmmm....

I got a basic one. Don't remember the number. I wouldn't go cordless, you're never exactly sure when it's gonna need a recharge.

I've gone through 2 new cordless Dremels - they both flaked out on me. I now have a corded with the arm attachment. Works great.

The one I use is a Dremmel cordless 7700 series. It's very old but still works fine and I use it for everything. I'm sure there's an updated model that's better and cheaper now.
