I just cast some stuff with Castin Craft. I think it turned out pretty well.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

castin craft is what I am having issues with.
I am trying to cast stands for small figures with footpegs and they are coming out more flexible than I would like.

Maybe that's just how thin casts turn out with that brand. I wouldn't know, I've only made heads with it. My local store only has one other kind of clear stuff, called polyester resin, as opposed to the epoxy kind. Here's a link:A.C. Moore - Castin' Craft Clear Polyester Casting Resin-With 1/2 Ounce Catalyst
Maybe that will work better for what you have in mind.
Here's another product that sounds like it might work. ArtMolds AquaClear Resin - BLICK art materials

              >My local store only has one other kind of clear stuff, called polyester resin,

It's good, but harsh. They use it for model railroad scenery. I've used it for tabletop wargame scenery before and it's pretty good. I ALSO have a Mego project that needec lear cast parts, but there were painted bits suspended in it, and the resin ate through some of the paint and fogged up a bit.

But yeah; for a straight up clear part the model railroad stuff is pretty good. Mix a little extra hardener into it, let it dry twice as long if it's in a mold, and when you take it out give it a day or so to air-dry before working it.
