Advice on customizing a rotocast head for Flash

Okay, I don't do a lot of customizing but I wanted to add a Flash to my line up. I prefer using rotocast heads. I just like the idea that the figure is in all ways exactly like what Mego made or would have made, even if it only sits in a display case and never gets played with. So I do not use resin heads. I usually make a "prototype" of the custom and give it to my son to play with. I did a Flash with the removable cowl Dr. Mego has but I just don't like the way it looks.

I was thinking of modifying a Batman head...anyone else already try this or have any better suggestions? figured I would ask before I start cutting ears off a vintage head. I would also need a way to mold the wings for Flash's mask.

I have never cut the ears off a Mego Batman, but I tried to shave the hair off a Kirk head before. I didn't like the results, and in some spots, it went all the way through. So if you do this, proceed with caution.

YUP!! Use a Cast-A-Way Head...just add the Earwings!

I would recommend using the ear-wings from the 10 inch JL Flash figure. Nice meaty chunk o plastic.

I have a resin cast of Batman without ears and also one of Captain america with ears but without wings.... please email if you are interested...

thanks for the advice. I have looked at castawys heads and while they are great they do not have the same spirit as the original Mego heads. They are too angry, if you know what I mean
