I used to use very light semi-gloss photo paper (cheap stuff) and apply emblems with Scotch double-sided tape...

Heavy photo paper tends to curl over time and looks too stiff on a figure

Tape works much better then any self sticking paper you can buy.

Helpful hint for applying tape ....
Put tape on the back of the paper to cover the complete printed emblem (do this before emblem is cut out).....
Then apply a temporary cover over the tape (an old used postal self sticking stamp backing sheet works perfect).
    Then cut out the emblem....
    Remove tape backing and apply.
Works great and never falls off.

I like the Fabric Paper,.. When ToyRoom & BatBob are not around.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
