    It's like Blackish Brown.
I think there is a Couple of Pics of one of the Wig's Reeve's Wore as Superman,.. out there on the Net. Try a Google. In the Movie, it does look Black,.. but when you see the Wig,.. there is Definately Brown in there.

I'm going to add dark brown to his hair then...but check out his eyes! These are the best eyes I have ever done on a Mego!!

Even though it probably is a really dark brown...I always painted black...because Superman is suppose to have black Hair.

When I saw one of his wigs at the Superman Museum in Metropolis, IL, I was surpried by how brown it looked -- it always appeared almost black on film.

But, yeah, it's definitely dark brown.

I painted the corners of the eyes a little pale pink, in addition to adding a little pale pink to the inside rim of both eyes. Put in the eyewhites after the paint dried. Then I added a very slight line of black for the eyelashes on the eyelids, both top and bottom. I used watered down black acrylic and the tiniest brush I could find. I believe it was size 10/0.

Then, for the pupils, I put on the black paint first. And then I layered light blue on top. And I kept messing up...until the iris and pupils were 3D!!! I then took an exacto knife and cut off the excess paint and left the outline of the eyes, which I colored in with light blue...and then put a dab of black paint on top of that. It was all quite by accident. I don't know if I'll be able to replicate it again. And they are both looking in the same direction!!! BONUS!!!!

Please post closeup photos of your Superman eyes when you are done. I would love to see somebody else's take on it.
