Worked in the printing field for 5 years (Pre-Press)...most of which was making printing plates, blueprints, and color proofs. Used to make my own Mego boxes while I worked for the company...but I've been out of printing for about 5 years. When we would make our boxes, we would print on Iris print paper and then lay it down paper/board that was about the same exact gauge/weight as Mego Boxes. Then send them through a poster laminating machine. Obviously I don't have those facilitys anymore to do this kind of work and was wondering if I could get any tips for home use. I have a Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Printer that can print up to 13 x 19. I would like to know what paper is best for printing the boxes....and if it is at all possible to print to a paper that is the same gauge/weight as Mego Boxes. I've seen a couple of things on ebay, Epson Proofing paper wise, but have no clue as to what would be best. Any help is gladly appreciated. Thanks.

Seriously though, I don't print directly to the board...the print is mounted to the board later.Last edited by The Toyroom; Jan 3, '09, 7:12 PM.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

I'm no "pro" but I usually print on a thin gloss stock and then spray mount it to cardboard after the fact.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
