Best glue to apply MEGO (repro) stickers with

Thanks to mego73, I have the ANSA/Taylor stickers for the APES Astronaut... I put one in an A/J cotton jumpsuit and while the stickers are holding on pretty well, they are lifting a bit at the edges... What is the best glue to use to glue them in place? I was thinking standard Elmers glue, but I recall using that once before for something else and when the glue hardened it was soaked into the fabric and also made the fabric stiff... Any suggestions?

I use krazy glue... the Brush on kind, when you pull the brush outta the bottle,.. take a couple of strokes off on a piece of paper 1st,.. & a Pair of Tweezers to put it into place...

I was recommended to use a glue-stick. The kind kids use (stick of paste) not the kind in a hot glue gun.
Was told that if you need to, the sticker can be removed (not sure if w/out damage to sticker) and the glue will wash out of the clothes.
Haven't tried it yet cuz I swore there was a glue stick in this house but darned if I can find it! LOL. Guess I'll have to spring the 39 cents and buy one, haha.

I've used kids' glue sticks on some of my custom stuff and it works great. Mind you, I didn't use it on anything of value because I wasn't sure what it would do, but I have to say that I was very pleased with the result. I haven't had the guts to use it on anything minty, so use at your own risk. Try it out on something you don't value too much first, just to see if you like the results.

To me it sounds a lot safer (reversible) than either the Elmers glue or Krazy glue mentioned above.
Dumb question: why don't they come self-adhesive? Would it be that hard to make them that way? I would think someone makes a 8x11 sheet of blank sticker paper that could be printed & die-cut (or even cut them out yourself with scissors) by some enterprising fellow?

The decals I received from Mego73 are self-adhesive, that's why they're stickers... Anyway, I was just looking for an idea of what would hold them on more permanently...

Fabric-Tak is usually the best for emblems on cloth. Totally water-soluable as well.

^^ I use either fabri-tak or industrial strength double sided tape (not what you get at Wal-mart, but what you find at a fabric store).

All of the decals I sell are computer die-cut UV outdoor grade self-adhesive vinyl. Just peel and stick.
