As a lot of people know on the forum that I'm doing a action figure of a superhero that I created am I'm getting a tremendous help from people on the forum.I was wondering if I should have the gloves made like the mego(oven mitts)gloves or should I have them made of plastic?I've seen the plastic gloves and I really like them but I'm not sure they would fit my action figures hands because it's a 12" figure and the hands aren't the regular hands. Is there someone who makes custom plastic gloves that could do them?Or,should I have someone try to make them out of the material that the outfit is made out of?Please advise me which way I should go for these gloves. Thanks to everyone on the forum for all your help,I really appreciate it.

HI dreddbatfan
Me Personally, I Like the Oven Mitts. I Think they Give the Figure more of a Toy Look

I'm recreating the Teen Titans and some characters my Nephew and i came up with. He likes the oven mitts i like the gloves, however some characters are better off just painting the hands and coloring or sewing the cuffs onto the shirt sleeves to give the impresssion of gloves. so there's a 3rd option for you."Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of DoomComment

Check with Wes McCue at Classic Plastick for decent 12" gloves...

I have a pair of ClassicPlastick gloves, but I also really like the kind Doc Mego makes for the Andorian EMCE. I've bought a few pairs of the plastic version. I don't know if he makes them in 12" versions."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

I would say it depends on what you are wanting from the figure.
If you want it to fit in with the other Mego's then go oven mitts.
But if you want it to fit in with today's more updated figures, then do painted hands.
Whoo!! Hoo!!
My first post. That was easy.Comment

What if you painted up the hands using Plasti Dip and then added cuffs? Haven't tried it myself...just pondering possibilities (because I don't like Mego oven mitts!!).Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.

Mitts are retro, but I dislike them as well.
I like molded gloves or colored hands/cuffs.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment
