Well as many have, I placed my first order for the new body, fist hands & boots. Dave tossed a few extras which is always a great treat. I ran it through probably nearly the same things everyone has all ready commented on.
High point: arm mobility!!!!!!!!! everyone loves this and so do I. I noticed the same thin Dave Mc mentioned, moving the arms up then back down, they sometimes poped out of socket. Quick fix: I ran elastic (like used to restring T1 bodies) between the arms, popped the ends out the neck and tied it as tight as i could. Now they stay in place 90 to 95% of the time
Low point: knee joints, they feel very weak, I'm not very worried about them since I don't see myself or anyone using these for customs grabbing and yanking the legs with enough force to damage the joint (proof in a sec.)
Other points that interested me. I had to partially disassemble one to see what's what. I swapped mego parts for castaway and vise versa.everything went well except the lionrock copy hand did not fit well into the mego pin because the mego pin was too far inside the forearm. I ended up keeping mego forearms and one mego hand on one of my castaway bodies, the mego hand and the fist hand fit together and with the new swivel arms I posed him punching his fist into his hand like he wants to beat someone to a pulp.
mego feet seamed to be a hair loose on the castaway body but castaway used on mego's body worked great.
I didn't plat with a bunch of bodies, this was just one of my mego bodies out of my pile with one castaway, "results may vary".
Then the grand daughter arrived. She, Allison, is just over 2. she climbed up on my lap and pulled at that poor body for over half an hour. Her favorite thing to do seemed to be pulling the legs out of socket and pointing out that he had a butt. After the tugging session, he seamed just fine.
Here's a few pics of the torture. Please forgive the blur. the one where he's "flying" is the best!
