I regret not buying it since it looked cool.
Who knows? It is very possible as Japan released a ton of this stuff over the years. I have a Johnny Sokko robot now that is close to their height, but not a Jumbo/Shogun type at all

Giant Robo wasn't part of either the Mattel Shogun Warrior line or the Popy Jumbo Machinder line. But I have seen a big Giant Robo toy that was around the same size, so someone made one at some point, I don't know what company or when though.

Thanks again everyone, I'm chuffed that folks continue to enjoy the pic!

I presume that there are lots of collectors with complete sets out there, since most Shoguns really aren't particularly hard to track down, but I can't recall seeing a basic group shot like my one before either. Strange!

I must say though that I wouldn't have completed this set without the Museum, Rodan came from Rob Chatlin's collection a couple of years ago. Thanks again Rob!

Cheers!
Will

You're right, you don't see too many pics of big collections out there, even though most of the US ones are fairly common. Maybe some people don't have the space commitment required to display them?

I have seen pics of two collections in the US, that also include many of the Japanese versions, and they are awe inspiring. One guy had a whole wall of glass cabinets filled with a few dozen of these guys, it looked amazing.

In that case, Will, I thought I should drop an note in here saying that I was really glad to see the picture and thought it looked so cool that it made me want to set up some of my toys for big group shots...I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'm still thinking that it would be cool to do!

Those are awesome. I sometimes dabble in imported toys. Nothing vintage, though I wish I had the Mattel Shogun Warrior trio that a childhood playmate had.

Put it this way-- I saved your pic and made it my desktop pic for a while, until I had to take it down because looking at it every day was just tempting me too much into going on a Shogun Warrior buying frenzy! LOL

Rodan, yet another on my grail list of "must haves" I have a nice loose godzilla which I love having gotten one for x-mas back in 70's. Nice collection!
