I like Chip Kidd - but I've never been to compelled to get any of the books in this series. I like thumbing through them at the book store though.

Has anyone ever done a good job of reprinting the original Fawcett comics?

The book is has some cool photos of premiums and Captain Marvel memorabilia from the 1940s, Simon/Kirby Captain Marvel reprint and some notes and letters from Fawcett Comics that are neat to see, but I would look through the book at a store before purchase.

Not a lot of text. Although it's a great package and beautifully photographed.

Like Chris I didn't know about this one. I have the Batman book and will certainly get this one. Althought I'm surprised there is enough Shazam stuff to fill a book.
