Hard to tell but points on the "S" being big. It's embossed but not quite as over-the-top as the Returns suit. The red seems like actual red, although it seems muted here, but it may be the lighting.
Overall, I'm getting a bit of a Fleischer vibe from the color scheme.
Can't tell if he has trunks, but at least we don't have Jim Lee body armor!
Thanks for posting the photo, KW. Yeah, at least THIS Superman does look like a SuperMAN and not a Superkindaman or a Supergeek, so it has that going for it. The suit is okay from what I can tell of it in this single shot; looks better than the SR suit anyway, but I'm still not too crazy about the hugely 3D chevron on his chest. With any luck, this will be the movie in which we FINALLY get to see Superman be super....!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
Interesting. Almost a mail-like texture... and the suggestion of vambraces on the wrists. Looks like they're trying to channel an armour vibe with the suit this time.
The "S" configuration has been tinkered with again.
The blue seems a little dark, but that might be the lighting. Cape looks good.
Just saw a bigger, clearer picture of this via a link over on AICN and in that picture, you can see the "texture" of the suit much better. Unfortunately, it looks like Supes and Spidey both went to see the same costumer because they are both crazed with texturing. Since when did it become necessary to make costumes so freakin' busy? That's one this I liked about Cap's uniform---no texturing. Same thing goes with GL's suit----it may've have movement [since it was composed of energy], but at least no scales or whatever they're calling that particular pattern.

Man Hollywood is so scared of "tights" nowadays, they'd texture a movie version of Swan Lake.
At least the suit doesn't look "foamy" like the Returns costume. I know Routh was in good shape, but you could tell the suit was padded in places. I know George Reeves had pads too, but I prefer my Supes au natural.
What is this neopryne diving suit look for superheroes lately? First Spidey, now Supes! I'm not digging that. And the suit's too dark looking. I like the bright super looking royal blue and bright red suit better.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Chris
I just see the suit as Alien in nature......I mean they have 100% cotton or wool on Krypton???..... I think these colors get picked because of all the CG work in movies now......
