Plastic Galaxy, documentary about Star Wars toys

I was interviewed earlier this summer for a documentary that is coming out next summer. It is going to be all about Star Wars toys. A couple of the shots in the teaser trailer are from my collection.

Supposedly it's going to be released next August around the time of Star Wars Celebratin VI. My guess is that's the first time I'll get a chance to watch it.

Given that this was before home video, the toys were our outlet for reliving and expanding the Star Wars adventures. It's not surprising how even the smallest background characters captured our imaginations.

I think I remember that doc being mentioned over at TF.N a while back, when they were asking if there were any fans/collectors who wanted to participate.

Exactly. In the old days, the toys, books, comics, etc. were the key to reliving the magic.
And if we wanted to see the movie again, we went to the theatre again, and again (and again!), and then we simply had to wait until the theatrical re-release the following summer to see it a few more times.
