It had to happen! 4th Doctor in Burgundy outfi

Just got an email about this new Tom in his Burgundy outfit.

Doctor Who: Action Figures: Fourth Doctor in Burgundy Outfit s Gate @ Forbidden Planet

The downside is yet another K9.

I've never been a fan of this outfit but i would've bought it in a regeneration 2 pack with the Davison figure ( like they did with Eccleston/Tennant, Tennant/Smith and the Jacobi/Sim Masters ).

I guess it's all just a matter of time ( no pun inended ) before we get the figures we want.

I like the burgundy, actually. I don't have any of the other K-9 releases, so this is an interesting set for me.

Do you know BTW if they plan on making the Dalek To Victory posters available in the US? Because now I need one. Probably two... actually.

As i said, i would have bought the Tom and Peter in Burgundy outfits as a regeneration pack but it doesn't interest me enough to buy them seperately.

          That's a nice figure.

I was never a fan of the burgundy outfit because I think it's too neat and coordinated for the fourth Doctor.
The fourth Doctor should wear something a bit more "sloppy"

Still, a REALLY NICE figure that i'd love to own someday.

Is that a new head ?

yeah, it's another new head sculpt.

I was never a fan of the socks and shoes look. I prefered the boots.

Instead of K-9 they should have had him come with Adric, which most people wouldn't buy Adric on his own anyway.

Yep. This costume change was JNT's attempt to clamp down on Tom Baker. IMHO Mike, I don't think the 4th Doctor should be sloppy. Mainly his style was excessive. Lots'a curly hair, too-long a scarf, too many colors on the scarf, pockets full of trinkets, etc. I don't really have a problem with this style. If JNT wanted the colors to be more uniform one has to ask why not use the grey coat instead? Still, it was only for one season and it was a nice way to go out.

Ian, how can you tell the figure is not wearing boots? The scarf & coat cover the feet. I can't see what he's wearing.

Big Bad Toystore has this set listed for $30 Pre-Order. Cheaper than Doctor 1 & 2 SDCC exclusives but still high. I plan on getting it tho.

One thing I noticed, the question marks are hidden under the jacket

Maybe Tom had a hand in that

                        Johnmiic,
it may not have been specifically to clamp down on Tom so much as production continuity. I suspect he was anoyed that each story they mixed up the costumes for Tom and Romana making his job as line PM harder. He was all about a uniform for all the characters for the entire season during his entire tenure.

                          John,
i found a pic of the Davison figure without the scarf and it's still difficult to see clearly but it looks like that figure is wearing boots ( as Tom did in his last episode ).

I haven't found any pic's of Tom in " Warriors Gate " so can't say but i'm guessing Character would use the same body for both figures.

He did wear the socks and shoes in Leisure Hive and that outfit is the one used ( on the mannequin ) in the promo pic's for " The 5 Doctors".

My best friend is leaving for London this month for a Holiday. i asked her for a Tom Baker. Since she told me I have learned there are so many !

I love this outfit , dont like the head. ( Tom needs to smile, Jon needs to smirk etc) I want this one in a hat.

It's a good thing Forbidden Planet doeswnt ship to the USA I would be broke.

Visited thier shop in 1989. AWESOME !

If he's not wearing the boots I'm skipping him.
