Wow, I'm liking it--a lot.

Excellent suggestions! That was always one thing I wondered about the original series, this kid's family is wealthy...why doesn't he have some really cool toys?

Evidently they weren't all THAT wealthy, in spite of appearances.
They were nowhere near the level of wealth of say, Blake Carrington on Dynasty, or J.R. Ewing on Dallas.JediJaidaComment

I'm impressed. Should calm those folks who freaked over last week's leaked set photos.
With it set in the 70s, I hope Burton captures a Hammer vibe like he did in Sleepy Hollow. Dark Shadows and Hammer had quite a bit in common. I love that gothic stuff.
Depp's hairdo is surprisingly accurate to Frid. Looks a bit weird on him, but I applaud the authenticity.
Mikey, Pfeiffer DOES look like her boots are about to start walkin'...
