    Dumb question for eBay sellers

It has been many, many years since I've sold anything on eBay, but I found some things in a drawer and decided to list them.

When you purchase and print a shipping label through their system, does it automatically send the tracking number to the buyer, or do you have to send them a message with it?

    Thanks!

Yes, ebay sends them an email with the tracking number. It also appears under their purchase history. I buy and sell, so I know.
You also save money if you purchase and print a shipping label through their system. It's cheaper than the "in-store" rates.

You're charged as soon as you purchase the postage. Doesn't matter if it's printed or not.

Not if you choose UPS; you get charged when the package is scanned for that shipping service, and it’s posted to your eBay account.
