The mixing of vintage reproductions and modern versions of the same character was a bad idea to begin with IMO. People who want vintage want vintage, and people who want modern want modern. Add in the high price tag and QC issues and you have a recipe for disaster. MY LCS has marked Cap down twice now and it's still sitting there. Can't GIVE it away. They didn't even order Wolverine because nobody wanted it. Same with Thor.
I think the line's DOA. We'll know for sure in a few weeks if they show anything new at SDCC.

Diamond reads these posts because they respond when things get too negative over these Marvel sets . Splitting up sets and reselling Peter Parker, or modern
Spiderman might be looked at as keeping some from ordering the whole set for another sale even if they only wan't one of the figuresLeave a comment:

I bought my Parker from Lonnie because that was all I wanted. I did get a set finally because of the low price, but it would have been one less unit sold. As long as DST sold all units and there is a demand for more/different ones. It shouldn't matter to a distributor what is done with them. Low quality should be addressed with a factory so the distributor doesn't have to lose money fixing quality issues they are responsible for if it was purchased from said distributor. If bought through retail/ ebay/ dealer, the person who sold low quality parts should be the one replacing/refunding and it is there responsibility to go to the distributor about issues.Leave a comment:

Hate to put all retailers into this category, but I think most businesses who see anyone splitting up product after it is purchased and then redistributing as a reseller. Doesn't matter if you are making money on it or not. The mind set is inventory.... Each box is a unit in inventory. To open a box in inventory to replace a boot means putting the money from that potential sale into spoilage. The more inventory that doesn't move affects cost of sales (price of inventory) compared to margin (profit). So, while one would think if you said that you were helping to bring awareness of the product by spreading the word and helping those get who can't get the whole set get something would be appreciated, really it comes down to (in their eyes) someone asking to negative out some inventory.Leave a comment:

Sadly, Teemu has the right answer. Stop buying these things. They're junk. As you know Lonnie, I bought one of the circle suit Spideys from you because mine was so damaged with outfit holes/snags. So I have over $100 invested in ONE set for ONE vintage repro, cause I don't care about the modern stuff. I haven't bought Cap or Wolverine and I have no intention of doing so.
I'll give FTC my money, since they obviously GET IT when it comes to what customers/fans want. I have no doubt either that they WILL get the Marvel license at some point. All Marvel has to do is look at the sales between the two companies/lines...it ain't rocket science.Leave a comment:

I bought them over the internet. Sending one back costs $11.55. I shouldn't have to lose money over factory flaws. Every piece of every set released should be in mint condition. Flawed, defective parts should be scrapped and not used.Leave a comment:

These sets are expensive ,12 sets you bought ,Holy moly ,And they dont respect a good customer like you.perhaps they are reading the
wrong rule of ferengi rules of acquisicion which is number 1 "Once you have their money ..never give it back (in your case parts) when they should read rule
57 which says "good customers are as rare as latinum, treasure them".They should send you everything you paid for .Leave a comment:

But I want them to succeed, not fail! I want more figures to be released, but I also want quality parts for my money. And everything defective replaced in a promptly without making me feel guilty for asking. If I have asked for an excessive amount of replacement parts, it's because I've gotten an excessive amount of defective parts. Not because I'm a scammer...Leave a comment:

The easiest answer to this is to stop buying EMCE/DST inferior JUNK!
I have already had to fix my spidey and Cap sets because of QC and the poor design of these..Leave a comment:

This is the response I got a month after I requested the Captain America boot and a Wolverine head.
"Lonnie,
I’m trying to locate parts to send you. However, I may not be able to replace everything as the parts may not be available.
Thanks,"
They have them in stock to sell, but can't find parts for my replacements?
I feel like I'm a better customer than that. I've bought my fare share of figures and deserve prompt replacements since they have such poor quality control. I like the product, but want what I pay for!Leave a comment:

Especially given the license limitations they have, they should praise the "splitting up" mentality. It spreads the product's awareness to more people, who can't (or refuse to) buy the 3 costume setup. Regardless, you're paying retail and buying way more product than the customer who buys one of each set for example. Stay on them!Leave a comment:

I've had a request in for over a month for Wolverine parts. How does it take so long to get replacement parts? I've been telling them all along I'm splitting them up and redistributing them. To spread their product to more consumers who otherwise wouldn't have them should be something they favor, not condemn.Leave a comment:

I've let them know I'm selling the individual characters to the people who won't buy the entire sets. They are making the sale, so no matter what I'm doing with them, I shouldn't have to have defective parts. I'm made a lot of replacement requests, all with pictures showing the damage. Nothing I'm asking for is something that wasn't defective from the factory. Broken claw, snag hole in costume, bad paint rubs, broken rubber band, split seams, warped and stretched rubber parts, bad paint smears on faces...etc.
If somebody buys one set they might have a complaint. If you buy twelve and open them all, you find so many flawed pieces. A lot of the sets aren't being opened, so they might not complain about stuff they don't see.
They are replacing some parts they said, but not all of them. I don't think I'm getting a Captain America boot, which is really a drag. This isn't acceptable and never should have been packaged. It should have been rejected at the factory!
