I kind of figure it will follow the formula laid out so far with a simple Mego style costume along with a more well tailored and detailed update of the same costume.

Which makes total sense. But, again, if they are going to create characters that were never Megos before, how would that formula work out? Create a Wolverine the way Mego would have done it in the 70s along with an updated Wolverine and a secret ID? That would be corny and cool at the same time.

Probably because if they do a Wolverine, there will be two different costume designs.

Given what we've seen for the formula so far... Mego repro-Updated, more detailed costume-Secret ID, I don't get why people think they will get two different costume designs.

I'd like Wolverine to be 1. The blue/yellow costume (X-Men #94) 2. The brown/tan costume (X-Men #140) 3. Secret ID (leather bomber jacket, cowboy hat).
Unless there is a fourth head option, I say stay away from the 1st appearance mask.

If they did a Wolverine...and there's no original Mego to repro...could that mean EMCE would have the opportunity to design a true vintage styled Wolverine in addition to the modern update? I would be really interested to see that...make a Wolverine that will fit next to that repro 70s Cap.

The Mego Thor was pretty much comic accurate in the first place so I don't think they would need to do an updated classic. But you never know.

Mego Thor, Don Blake head with suit, lab coat, and walking stick, Walt Simonson bearded Thor head and costume.

Black Knight: Original costume, Ghost of Stone head and grey colored costume, "Light sabre Dane" with Avengers jacket or Heroes for Hire costume (not what I would want but I'm not a fan of secret identity figures)

Dr. Strange with original blue cloak and square amulet of Agamotto, red cloak of levitation and round amulet of Agamotto and finally masked head with "superhero" suit and gloves of the 1960s. This will never happen (not enuff Dr Strange fans), but nice to pretend it may.

That would be cool.
