Alex, I wouldn't speak for BBP! but the release read to me like certain characters currently have licensing issues precluding them from being issued - though other characters/figures are in the works. Specifically I mean the phrase "restricted to certain creatures and monsters going forward." Though Jason's comment above about being excited about the entire line in past-tense makes the status a bit confused, leaving me to wonder as well.

I'm curious about this image though:

I get that head art would be enlarged for sculpting reference, but it would seem to me that concept guides like this would want things in production scale, wouldn't they?
I've never seen it done this way, how does the process work?

That is a bummer, so are any TZ figures getting released now, or everything put on hold?

Cool! Mego Robby the Robot! Hope you can work out the licensing.

Oh, man, that is a giant punch in to the gut. I would have loved every last one of those. This is disappointing, but I'll still be excited about whatever you guys can/do make in the future. I love this line and what you've done with it so i'll support it until the end.

I feel like Santa AND Christmas was just canceled. Thanks for the info, JLabs - you guys had some AMAZING stuff in the pipeline. I'll be waiting for it if the likeness issues ever resolve!

While that's certainly disappointing, I am glad that it's not a sales issue.

I do hope that the likeness rights can be worked out eventually.

Yeah, it's a bit disconcerting. But I thought the figures were doing alright.

I mean, the first three waves are still readily available, but those had larger production sizes than waves 4 and 5 which were limited to 3,000 pieces each. And 4 and 5 are both completely sold out on EE.

It seemed like the series was served better by the smaller production sizes, but I guess I could be wrong.
