the Voltron folks are based here in St. Louis. I saw where one of the guys I met (back in my advertising days) is going to be on a Voltron panel with Carrie Keagan at SDCC this year.Leave a comment:

Which is exactly what the hordes of former 80's kids are saying about Megos.
Given the popularity of Transformers, it's not surprising that the other transforming giant robot type stuff is following out of the woodwork. I have no idea why Robotech isn't out there currently on the retro circuit.
Keep in mind Voltron is now considered a retro property with a hard sell at this year's SDCC for adult collectors (in addition to a new cartoon and toys aimed at kids)

For the first time, Club Lion Force mega-thrusts into the Matty atmosphere in 2012! Based on Voltron®, the fanboy-favorite 1980s series, details will be announced at SDCC. Club Lion Force will be configured similarly to Club Eternia® and Club Ecto-1, and will include a club-exclusive item.Last edited by samurainoir; Jul 19, '11, 4:33 PM.Leave a comment:

I would. It would make perfect sense IMO. Considering the line is intended for collectors. Speaking of Voltron... really? It's all well and good, but is it still that popular?Leave a comment:

I'd be down for that. I'll get them anyway. Even if they make Mxy!

I'd be hip to that for the most part, although I'd prefer just to have a prebuy on individual figuresLeave a comment:

in a heartbeat. Even if it was six figures a year like they are starting with Voltron, that would likely get us some heavy hitters like Robin, Joker, Supergirl, Batgirl, Bizarro. Sneak in Fate and Spectre, I think most folks would be happy with a subscription from Matty.Leave a comment:
