Except that you have to look at it this way... BBP already has retail/distribution channels built in with Entertainment Earth, one of the largest online retail destinations for toys/collectibles. They also already have exclusive product from the big toy companies... Off the top of my head they have EE exclusive Star Wars stuff for example. And much of this stuff could also go through Diamond. Targeted at Adult Collectors (unfortunate, but true for a line billed as "Retro")

And Retro Action is being ended because it's NOT a Huge money maker for them... At least compared to Hot Wheels, Barbie, and the regular Batman and DCU figures they put out in 5" and 6" formats based on animated series and whatnot.

Aw, Nice! Say Hi to Larry for me. He was great to have at Florida Supercon.

Just make sure the bodies are stable. BBP might have to update the characters as far as costumes with DC reinventing many of their heros in September will new 1st issues, new reimagined origion stories and new looks, Superman for instance, will no longer have the red trunks.
If this line does continue I hope it stays way far away from the relaunch designs. I seriously don't see the need to rehash Superman or any of the others already released. Get the 6 that are prototyped and then get to more JLAer and LOD characters.

I wouldn't mind Batman: The Brave and the Bold Megos
Especially since certain Batman 66 villains were featured in the show, like Bookworm, Mad Hatter, Clock King and King Tut

I'd love a Garcia Lopez Super Powers era styled Superman. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. They could easily do Super Powers styled versions of Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. too since all the Retro-Action heroes are very Challenge of the Superfriends inspired.

Multiple Batman and Superman are never the problem... Witness how many different variations are in every single towline they inhabit. Although for retros I would assume that artist based variations like with DCD (adult collectors) would be better than concept based ones like with JLU or Brave and Bold which are aimed at kids.

Who of our age wouldn't want a more Neal Adams/Marshal RogersBatman? I'd hope for a Curt Swan Superman. Or dare we dream.. Christopher Reeve

I dunno. If I had the license, I would think I would want to still carry heavy hitters like Batman and Superman. Batman would be no problem. There was lots of debate on the Museum about what style of Batman to produce. I bet because you could do a costume variation and people would love it. Superman would be tougher to convince fans to buy yet another Mego-ish Superman... but he is Superman, so surely he would still sell well.

Now this is exciting. Better bodies, more accessories, more detail and better customer care... here's hoping Mattel says yes
