Dr Mego is spot on with the 8" original trek, Thats fine, but how about Trek movies 8" figures TMP and so on, then TNG, the tv shows, if retailers are not too amped because of low sales, let me tell ya, more people out here would rather buy start trek movie redjacket 8" figures than Harry Mudd and Vina. honestly, Id rather have mego type star trek movie figures. I think many shop owners know they would sell better.now just imagine Dr Mego Trek figure in Toys R Us?? wayyyy cool.
Thats just my 2 cents. still rather have in my collection 8" Dr Mego/EMCE Trek figures.

I think that line that Johnmiic is speaking about has been cancelled by the makes, That wave was scheduled to be released about one year or year and a half ago, and till this day, it has not come out. I wish it would come out but, i am not holding my breath for it. If any one here has any more info on them please let me know.Leave a comment:

Tothiro, I also really want Leslie. If Chapel and Vina make it to shelves (please, please!) then I'd love for the next wave to be Leslie and the Neptunian (or Leslie and Harry Mudd).Leave a comment:

I want a Lt Leslie, dammit.
Also Chapel, Vina, and a Rand. But mostly Leslie.
I'd also really, really (really) like to see 8" versions of ST:TMP aliens. Arcturian, Rigellian, etc, would be super-cool in my book. More bug eyes!Leave a comment:

I think a correct suited classic series Klingon should be top priority.
Kor, Kang or Koloth would do the trick nicely.Leave a comment:

Trelain, Klingon Koloth or Kang, Sarek, Ruk the android.....all fun choices.Leave a comment:

I'd like to see Harry Mudd, mirror universe spock, or Cyrano Jones (with tribbles in his pockets).Leave a comment:

An Embarrassment of Riches
I have to agree with Paul on this. It just seemed like so much great product came out all at once all largely targeted to the same core collector base that nothing could really survive. I would have bought all the Star Trek stuff instead of picking and choosing, but I had to also get some of the DC hero's and Twilight Zone and Dark Shadows, but each figure was $20+shipping. I also have too many big boxes of non displayed stuff already in my basement, so the additional cash outlay is hard to justify.
While it is great to have all these choices available - it is really too much
of a good thing. There are so many figures out there that retailers are
unable to buy them all so the more marginal ones are being dropped.
I would rather slow the pace down a little so we can enjoy what
does get made.Leave a comment:

You guys at Emce have my 100% support Doc. All the figures you guys have made so far are really awesome. You have made a life long dream of mine come true and I really am enjoying what we do get made.Leave a comment:

It really is looking grim for most of the 8 inch lines we have seen come about recently. It seems that every time there is a slight ray of hope we will get something new it gets shot down pretty quickly. POTA got cut really short, Star Trek has really slowed with rumours of cancellation, Dark Shadows is on hold and with the recent news of the cancellation of Retro-Heroes it is very discouraging to collectors of 8 inch figures. Though I am very thankful to Emce, Biff Bang Pow, Zica and others for the characters that actually have been produced and I know it is not thier fault for those that do not get produced, it really is discouraging to see a lot of really cool prototypes and get excited about collecting a certain line and then only get a few characters out of them actually produced.Leave a comment:

It is starting to look like any 8" lines are dropping as fast as they started out.

Well, I hope there are tons of prototypes for retailers to see at SDCC so they have something to get excited about. Personally, I've got a long list of figures I'd still love to see:
Kirk ("Mirror, Mirror")
Kirk (Green V-neck)
Kirk (Starfleet Dress Uniform)
Kirk (Pilot)
Spock ("Mirror, Mirror")
Spock (Pilot)
Sulu ("Mirror, Mirror")
Uhura ("Mirror, Mirror")
Scotty ("Mirror, Mirror")
McCoy ("Mirror, Mirror")
McCoy (Short sleeves)
Chekhov ("Mirror, Mirror")
Lt. Marlena Moreau ("Mirror, Mirror")
Mego Neptunian
Mego Talos
Kahn (Gold Tunic)
...and don't even get me started on Next Generation!Leave a comment:

It's all based on sales
Not exactly cancelled, but held up. If the store owners who go
to Toy Fair and SDCC aren't feeling confident that they will sell
something, that will tell DST or BBP or Mattel whether or not to
go into production.
You guys are a great focus group, but the retailers are the ones
buying cases, so if they are unsure about placing an order, it
speaks volumes to the manufacturers.
