True. Look at the Spider Man and Iron Man stuff. And did someone say G.I. Joe? Two words:Sigma Six. I know it's not the Retro stuff but you can't blame Hasbro for not wanting to jump on the bandwagon with the track record of that stuff.

Good! I hated them too! I never understood what that was about particularly as it limited the playing ability to hold something or throw a punch. The only thing you can do with oven mitts is throw cookies at someone.

Does this mean you may make some superhero's in the near future?

I think the Andorian gloves work very well. Both of them are "open" hand gloves... They can come up with one "fist/closed hand" glove and release for each gloved figure one and one.

Collectors that are familliar with anything EMCE has done since they started
would be shocked "W T F" as EMCE've been putting out product for years
    and haven't done it yet.

Any toy company these days ONLY has the rights to characters within a size-range OR a style, or a style and size-range.

Hasbro has Marvel rights for "action-figures" in various sizes (not sure all)
Art Asylum has Marvel rights for the mini-mates
Marvel Select for figures above the HASBRO scale rights
    Bowen Design for MARVEL statues
Moebius Models for model kits, in certain scales
Mattel for Marvel Barbie (they did have)
    Etc, etc.

It works the same for other brands too.

Trust me - we are not idle.

As for oven mitts - I always hated them because it kept Batman from
holding a rope or a batarang. Even Mr. Fantastic's plastic gloves
prevent him from holding the Ultimate Nullifier!
I'm sure we will be delighted and shocked at eventually seeing all the near misses, pitches and prototypes that have or will flow cross the Emce workbench!

I just wish I could hop the Delorean now and get a peak at what lies in those vaults!
