    B. Hasbro comes out with a line of 8' cloth costumed toys

My two cents... Considering what I'm reading in this thread, it seems that people are indeed seeing them at their local TRU but not for long. Most ebay "auction style" listings I've watched have sold for a decent amount, less than MSRP in some cases but fro a guy who fell for that little piece of "crack", I went back for the others at the regular price. So in my humble opinion I think the line is a success. The bigger question is for how long the line will last. Again IMO if Mattel doesn't give up on the 8' scale and does indeed use it for other boys properties I think that will benefit the whole retro resurgence in a great and long term way. Who knows it couls be so popular that they could even dump the "retro" marketing angle and just call them action figures?

Again though... just my two cents.

I check my local TRU just for fun and it always has a different combo of figures left. One week it will be Lex and Sinestro, another Supes and Lex. I haven't seen GL for awhile. I also jsut realized the brilliance of putting Batman on the wave 1 card. It keeps the kids coming back to the store to look for one. Looking forward to July.

    Thank you Dr Mego

Thanks for that, what a relief! I actually enjoyed Sinestro and Lex more so than the heros, oh well. I am sure they will catch up as a new fan base evolves. Thank you, again.

That is expected - the heroes always go first.

This line is a success in terms of moving product - future characters are being
worked on in the DCU, as well as Ghostbusters in this format.

    Mission accomplished.
    OH YEAH
Great news, thanks for that Paul

    Thanks Doc,

I was a bit worried about the success of this line myself. All I saw yesterday at the Times Sq TRU were Luthor, Sinestro and two Hals. Superman was no where to be found. I'm glad I got myself two of 'em already. TRU sent me a 15% off any item coupon so I am thinking about getting me a Sinestro. I hope the rumor is true....I must see the Spectre on the shelf one day and soon.

I know I'll be buying another Luthor because he's so cool. Plus his head will be good for customs. So maybe more than one more.

    Any verdict yet?

I hear some saying these are flying off the shelves, while others are saying the pegs are full. There is a lot riding on the success because it will affect future lines. I really want this line to continue. Is the line considered a success, are future Waves in question?
