Diamond wants to release each set around September in time for Halloween.
I don't think the Hammer films are part of the Universal license.Leave a comment:

These are becomming more Like tonner dolls or work of art instead of playable actions figures.
But on the cost and production side it keeps them out of the hands of Children.\
I known I heard from the all the manufactures we'er aimming at the collector.
well that all and good , But the collector market is fickel and cheap bas****ers.
and they (WE) turned are noses up at hasbro's 40th line of G.I.Joe, and Playing Mantis Capatian Action Because of price gougeing, and Larands cheap cutting 12 inch figures & rightfully so.
I just have a bad feeling about these fantasticly done figures.Last edited by AAAAA; Feb 28, '10, 8:25 PM.Leave a comment:

i loves me the glow stuff, but i'm definitely in the minority, so we haven't even brought it up with the rest of the team. i think everyone's just set on doing a really good mego-ization of the monsters and correcting another historical wrong.
won't stop me from painting them with glow paint, however :-)Leave a comment:

Does Quasimodo count as a monster?
Sure, he had monster like qualities, but those were purely physical due to his deformities.
It'd take a heck of a lot of tooling and sculpting to get him right, plus you have to consider which version to use.
There's the Lon Chaney Sr. version; the Charles Laughton version; the Anthony Quinn version; and the Mandy Patinkin version.
I'd like to see Charles Laughton's version of Quasimodo, he was by far the best.Leave a comment:

I'm glad they're taking their time.
Otherwise, I'd never keep up with all that EMCE will be putting on shelves.Leave a comment:

The Frankenstein sculpt looks to be inspired by the Glenn Strange portrayal based on the deep ridges around the jaw line and the face. Will there be some shading effect around the eyelids to bring out the overall look(like they did with AHI Frankenstein)?Leave a comment:

Personally I'm glad that there's a break in there on the waves. There is so much Mego-ish product coming out that the different companies need to watch out for oversaturation of the market.Leave a comment:
