    No surprise here.

If you look back at some of my post you'll notice a CONSTANT theme towards Mattel as a company. They are the Keystone cops of toy manufactoring. For those of you who have been blisfully ignorant of any dealing with Mattel count yourselves lucky. I on the other hand have been dealing with them as a collector and customer for almost 10 years straight. They have in the last 3 to 4 years accelerated their incompetence to levels unimagined. And, no matter what anyone says, writes, blogs etc. about the way this company is run.. nothing at Mattel ever changes, except it gets WORSE!

So, while not surprised at all that Mattel dropped the ball once again.. I too am disappointed along with ya all. These guys can't figure out how to get mass-produced toys into stores (seriously), let alone, speciality items targeted to go on their own web site (w/no middle man involved). Most of these apes hitting computer keys at Mattel are LUCKY to even have a job. If I did my job as they do theirs, well, I would of been layed off years ago.

I am so tired of Mattel.. you have no idea.

    Ok, were all ****ed.
I'm looking at the brighter side of this?
But as near as I can tell they are also selling about 9 other
    tomorrow only specials.
We would be fighting it out with all the other figure collectors.
At least next week, there will not be as many problems?
So, in theory... It should be easy to buy?
And who knows, maybe they will even have more to sell??

This still beats the 8 weeks it took for the Super Hero catalog,
to send me my Fantastic Four and Conan back in 76?
In fact, I seen Conan at J.C.Pennys before I got mine.
So, I shoplifted him. I was a rotten kid.
But all my Superheros and comicbooks saved me.
Here is a pic of the button they tossed in, as a bonus.

    Funny, the junk we save.

I am crushed. I have been extra good this year, I have sat on every knee of every Santa asking to have one of these under my tree this year. That does it! I am not going to believe in Santa anymore! Furthermore, I think I will boycott this figure.... ahh, who am I kidding, I want this figure! Besides, I have my birthday at the end of January!

I had to buy the Treks - made in my own factory in China - at the same price as any
other retailer, and didn't get them until after most retailers in my area.

While it would be nice to get free swag, I am glad to buy them in quantity.

All sales do not start on Wednesdays. I can't speak for all lines, but the Masters of the Universe classics go on sale on the 15th (or next business day if the 15th falls on a weekend) each month. I am almost surprised they didn't push Green Arrow back to Jan. 15th.

The memo says Tuesday the 23rd but that's a Wednesday. Tues is the 22nd. Which is it? Do all sales start on a Tuesday?

What kind of ******baggery is that? You were the facilitator of this line and their main go-to guy. THey couldn't float you a couple of freebies? That's just flat out wrong. I know you have no control over that, but you should still get a few tokens for your efforts.

I know you can't publicly express an opinion on the matter, but I can. That's freakin stupid.

That is just what I was wondering. Why can't Mattel still sell GA tomorrow. More mattycollector crap!

Ok, Question, So the GA figure is not in till next week, why can't they just sell them tomorrow as advertised, and then mail them when they come in next week? is that not the most logical thing to do?
I am truely not suprised this happened, however what does suprise is the companies unprofessionalism, the only think that would disappoint more is is when the figure ships the legs break apart or the elastic snaps, or the chest becomes unglued and mattel tells us fans, oh ,thats not a serious problem, just take some superglue and glue the chest back in place. If I spend my money on something, esp what this figure costs, I would want it to not break apart upon openning and I would not be pleased to have to repear it myself no matter how simple it was, now if the figure was older thats a different story.

I just knew **** like this was going to happen.

I'll catch this "Green Arrow" figure on eBay about three years from now. No time to play games.

I'm disappointed too - but I have no control over Mattel's internal operation.

My involvement on Green Arrow ended when the prototypes were delivered
    to San Diego.

Like everyone else, I have to order them through the website.
