Fortunately, in the world of Star Trek, a lot of the anomalies found in the EMCEs can be explained ... Khan did have a reddish face; so did Scotty, I presume, after a wee too much scotch. By the end of the first season, after many trips to the dry cleaners, Kirk's shirt did resemble a belly shirt. And, the spacing between the sleeve rank stripes did vary from season to season. Also, the collars varied widely in thickness, particularly during the first season (in some of those early episodes, it almost looks like Spock is wearing a turtleneck).
The silver rank stripes and the upturned collars? Beats me. Maybe they were in the animated series.
I didn't watch that.

Sure the Shirt isn't removable now...but it's a compromise I can live with. I'm HAPPY now!!
Because to Me it meant, that the People in China weren't fixing the problem. That combined with My utter EXCITEMENT & Joy...at finally owning the two missing crew Members after 30 years! So...having it happen to Checkov...really popped My Balloon.
Unfortunately...I failed...and My fix didn't work.
