I visited a local comic shop at lunch today and bought my Gorn and Sulu "out in the wild." I'm giddy with excitement over how that Gorn looks. Twice as giddy getting them off a peg in a store as opposed to just ordering them. I felt like I was 8 years old again.

So I got my Gorn and Sulu's today. I was never a huge fan of the original series, much bigger Nextgen fan. I have to admit I would like to see more from the original series. Next Gen would be sweet too. These new characters are really great. I love the Gorn. The head is just so much more accurate yet still so mego like. Sulu and Chekov are like the WGSH Green Lantern and Flash. Holes that just needed to be filled and finally have. Khan I see as just a bonus. More proof that other characters can have a chance of existing. Hat's off to Doc and Joe for getting it this far and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

I didn't like the armbands we had to go with but the fake leather fabric we wanted
to use did not pass the lab tests.

Red armband errors fit in well with my collection I guess. It works with my Red faced Scottie, and my Swarthy dark skinned Kirk. Oh well. I can't bring myself to replace them though. As long as they are not outright broken then that's what I was dealt, and that is that. I only have one comic book shop in my area who carries these and I don't really like buying online if I can avoid it.

That being said, I've been waiting for this day and man, I can't wait to get this figure. The Gorn captain is by far my favorite Star Trek Alien. Wah Chang's suit was burned into my memory from the first time I saw the episode, and getting this new sculpt is just fantastic.

I got Sulu yesterday Feb 16th at my local comic shop. They are pretty timid when it comes to EMCE figure orders, so the one Gorn I know they had must have sold pretty quick. Doh! Their toy shipment comes in tomorrow, I hope the Gorn is included.

The manager told me they don't have the Gorn and Sulu sets yet...... shipping delaying????
