No, Gene's real head is actually that big, and getting bigger all the time...

Ace looks really really funny... the rest do look pretty nice though! I still think the original Mego versions have the most charm.

Agreed - and if Farrow's "hint" on his Facebook wall, and that KISS Figure carrying case photo is accurate....we WILL be seeing Farrow heads on them eventually...I just hope the prices don't get any more ridiculous than they already are.

My thoughts exactly. Plus they would have to improve the quality of the outfits. Right now those outfits look like the dollar store variety. They need to up their quality if their going to up their prices. I'm not holding my breath though. Plus Farrow has a unique way of making the hair on his figures look distinctive as well. This straight rooted hair has got to go. It just gives the figures a cheap look. We'll see what happens.

This is CRAZY! Im getting the 12 inch Sonic Boom (Comic Boo) Gene ONLY to convert into Destroyer Gene by changing and doing the custom "scale dragon demon boot" sleeves! I really dont care for the useless FAKE Catman and Spaceman dolls. They really should have skipped those two stupid things and just done a combo Paul and Gene instead. I hope the lack luster sales of this particular line will NOT destroy the chances of later lineups. I really wanna see a Dynasty,Elder and Creatures of the Night Set

Thanks for posting these! The quality of the first series was pretty poor... I bought them because I have always wanted that set... completely agree with most of the statements here...
I have been waiting for anyone to post pics though... even though the sonic boom series isn't my personal favorite, I am still excited to see them!

As far as the Sonic Boom figs go, I ain't buying the rest of them; unless it's one heckuva Amazon deal or something...and I'm talking $10-$12 each is what it would take.
I am no fan of Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer.
I haven't been a big fan of the CTVT figs to be completely honest.
The main thing for me were the 12" Mego repros - was getting those come hell or high water.
Would like a second set of those - but way too expensive.

The First Year figs, or whatever you call em, those were Xmas gifts to me from the family cuz for over 20 years I complain I don't get anything KISS related...this year, they went all out LOL.

I still loathe the uber huge clamshell, but hate to open em up out of some weird collector paranoia thing...but, in the end, I just might open em up and ditch the clams.

All the while, I must say - I am not seeing loose KISS figs pop up on ebay or even here - so most people are hanging on to them. There was a set of 12" mego repros I saw on ebay once...opened and the guy actually had AFA grade them and listed them as some crazy price...never looked to see if they sold or not.

The big thing to help this line would be the head sculpts by Farrow - holy heck, if they look as good as his customs...we are in for a treat. I just hope they don't raise the price another $10-$20 per fig as they did this round... ridiculously over priced.

I have Sonic Boom Gene and the First Year Gene opened, but back in their clams.
I will do a loose side-by-side photo when I get a chance for ya.

Picked up the new Gene.
Quite satisfied with the body, It doesn't have the pee stanz and poses pretty good.

Oh, use a small jeweler screwdriver and you can open the KISS zip tie and reuse it.

Thanks for the tip on the screw driver. The shoes on my Sonic Boom Gene fell off in the package. I got them back on. Thanks!!!
