New CTVT Female rooted hair heads

Well, I popped a Dinah head off of one of my figures, and popped on the burgundy head in its place.

I must say that the hair on this doll is the softest doll hair I've ever felt!

Usually, doll hair of any kind, whether nylon, kanaokalon (or however the heck you spell it!), doesn't really feel that soft. It actually FEELS fake!

I don't know how to describe it, but doll hair just doesn't have the same tactile feel as real human hair.

Do you get what I'm saying?

Anyway, this particular type of fiber is very soft to the touch, and almost, ALMOST feels like human hair.

Although, as I examine the rooting job, I find that some of the plugs were irregularly placed, especially when you get away from the front hairline.

However, this is a very minor quibble.

The vinyl of the head is very firm, the paint job excellent, and the burgundy color is kind of cute once you get used to it.

Maybe I can make a Morgan LeFey out of her.

Well, as long as it doesn't have that god-awful grimace with the bared teeth that the Conan head did, I'd buy a few.

I'm kinda hoping for a Tom Hiddleston sculpt myself.

I saw one for a BJD in 1:3 scale, and the likeness was so dead on it was spooky!

Unfortunately, that's the only scale that the artist works in, so nothing in 1:6 or 1:9, unless someone here is that good.

"Aside from" as in "Who else?" I can't really recall any other guys in the Marvel-verse with green hair.

But, now that I think about it, it wouldn't be all that bad. A Thor head with rooted hair of different colors would be pretty neat.

It would work for Conan the Barbarian, Solomon Kane, King Kull, Erik the Red, Leif the Lucky, Sir Kay of Camelot; oooh, a bunch of others.

I got my set of heads today, and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by them.

Yes, they are a direct copy of the Supergirl head, and yes, they are the same size as both the repros and the original.

I thought that with CTVT's track record of ultra squishy male heads that the females would have the same issue; well, they don't!

The head is very firm, but not hard as a rock.

It took a bit of doing to get it onto the neck post, but I managed and she looks gorgeous!

I just need an outfit for her to wear; I can't have her go around naked! For now, she will wear one of Doc's female body suits.

Will inform you guys as to how they look.

I must admit that I'm looking forward to getting these. Goodness only knows I nagged the boys at CTVT for some new female painted heads for the past couple of years.

Now we have a complete Black Widow (Me and my kids)!
I just have to get her a black bodysuit next.
