Who wants Red Sonja?

Bêlit was the Shemite pirate queen that was the love of Conan's life until he met Zenobia (whom he married). Her ship was the Tigress. In the movie w/ Arnold, the scene where Valeria comes back from the dead to protect Conan was based on something that Bêlit did in the story Queen of the Black Coast.

It's my opinion that the current FTC female body is not sufficient to do justice to Red Sonja. It really was substandard to even the original Mego even if they improved it for the Catwoman. I don't think any Red Sonja fan would be happy with seeing the figure go the Tarzan body suit route either.

They would need to tool up a female body, and perhaps one with seems strategically hidden?

Mattels retro female body always works for the more...gifted...heroines.

Red Sonja is it's own separate license owned by it's own company Red Sonja LLC

Red Sonja publishing rights currently resides over at Dynamite Comics doesn't it? Dynamite recently announced Dynamite toys?

(and to complicate matters further... Dynamite is rumoured in negotiations to be purchased by DC Comics).

^Yeah, there is some CRAZY legal mumbo-jumbo in regards to Sonja. The Marvel version was only slightly based on Howard's Red Sonya (notice spelling), and somehow Marvel lost the rights to the version created under their watch, and the Conan license holders don't own it either! It's nuts.

Yes please. But she deserves to be on a bit more "fit" figure than the standard Mego female body.

I know that she's a relatively easy kitbash/custom, but I'd really like to see the FTC take on it.

They're doing Conan, so they really should think about doing Sonja.

Never mind the gadawful movie with Brigitte Nielsen; it was an insult to the comic book!

I mean the REAL Red Sonja; like the one immortalized by Boris Vallejo! THAT is what she should look like!

Beautiful, skilled, deadly; all that neat stuff.

They already have a red headed female rotocast head, and an 8" body; all they need are the chain mail bikini, a sword, boots, and voila! Red Sonja!
