I have switched gloves as well, for the old Batman and Robin I gave to my daughter. It will be interesting to see what they use for the Batman 66 figures. -
Oh, I'm perfectly happy that they put oven mitts on these. They had to as the are "just like" the original Mego . The mitts on these are quite nice actually. Good color, the spiky scallop thingies are nicely cut out, and they seem to go on easier that other ones I have. But if a blue molded glove was available in the right shade I would switch. I've done that with some of my megos.Leave a comment:

Didn't we discuss oven mitts already? These are repros of the originals, the originals had oven mitts, so these do as well. I'm sure they'll ditch them for any "new" figures they produce.Leave a comment:

Yep, I looked and they are a different shade. Could paint them I guess. Maybe they would considering making them.Leave a comment:

I was thinking of replacing the mitts too , but aren't their gloves too light a shade of blue ? It would be nice if it all matched - there's a wish list item - darker blue molded gloves.Leave a comment:

That does look good. Those molded gloves they offer are good replacements for overmitts. I would like one hand closed fist and one open.Leave a comment:

still waiting for the 66 line, these retreads do nothing for me. I hope they eventually re do the Batman figures with improved suits and sculpts. Mattel did the right thing and ditched the mitts.Leave a comment:

It's sad to hear that FTC still has quality control issues. Me personally...I'll buy them regardless. The Heads, clothes and accessories makes it worth $24.99 a figure to me...I'll replace every body if I have to. Hell, I did it with the crappy Mattel ones.Leave a comment:

While I think these type of toys are meant to be more for display, than play, they shouldnt break right out of the package. The "real" Megos that I have gotten over the last few years are really good quality. (and decades old!) They are put together better to. I do think Figures Inc. is trying, maybe they will improve as the line goes forward. Mattels line had some major flaws and they were harder to fix. The great thing about these figures is they can be fixed with a spare part here and there.
A customer should expect a little bit of support if they put up the $25 dollars though. From what I've seen in the past the company usually will send a replacement part right away when there is a problem.Leave a comment:

Extra Sticker and DC Direct Comparison
DC Direct has always been a good comparison, and also the old CTV toys ironically.
Yknow it comes out of the package obviously not wanting to be touched.
This is not that situation, and honestly considering i think we are lucky its not worse.
BTW the extra Batman sticker feels to me a way to say hey we are thinking of everyone.Leave a comment:

It's becoming clear to me that the trap FTC has falling into was laid out by us the consumer. We've been asking and begging for so long for someone to make the toys we grew up with and in doing so we got the same issues the original Megos faced. I have a few Megos with broken pins still on the card. The problem is the design of the product (fragile pins, tight rubber bands, loose stringing...). Megos and the new stuff are beautiful toys to pose but as far as play with, they're just not made for the rock n' sock'em. I've come to terms with the fact that if I want Megos then I'm going to get it's baggage too. I'm not saying we shouldn't contact them for replacements because it's our right to get satisfaction as a consumer but let's understand the products we buy. I'm treating these as Ferarris not Toyotas.Leave a comment:

^^^^^Same here! PERFECT figures! No problems at all!
However, neither FTC nor any seller should neglect customer complaints or feedback and treat them with arrogance... That's an instant deal breaker!Leave a comment:
