Batgirl is just based on the original BTAS color scheme. Just another way to get the figure back out there.

Those look so great all together. I'd love to see Mr. Freeze variants, Minstrel, Shame, and Louie the Lilac. Even Puzzler, False-Face.
I was surprised to see Clock King, I'm very fond of that episode.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment

In the Batman '66 comic, Batman discovered that Clock King was another Tetch - the brother of Mad Hatter. I love that.Comment

I don’t remember that being mentioned on the tv show just the comic. It would have been cool if they teamed them up to fight Batman, maybe for a season 3 double episode with Batgirl instead of some of the really bad ones they showed, like when they went to England for a 3 part episode, (Lord Fogg and Lady Peasoup) and the all time worst episode with Nora Clavicle, where they played flutes to lure mechanical mice into the river, horrible.Comment

Playing with the display. I removed the mixed lines and went with just McFarlane figures and added the Batmobile, the Villains playset, McFarlane Alfred and Bookworm.

Unfortunately, that's a bad picture for Batman, so here is a Before-Villains Set picture, with Batman in the driver's seat:

I am looking forward to adding The Clock King to the display.

So, I recently splurged and got almost all caught up, excluding the latest wave, wave 11. I'll get that next, the entire wave, including the Batgirl Cycle. My recent purchases included The New Adventures of Batman wave and the wave with Nightwing, Bookworm, etc. I even got the Jokermobile set and the Black Light Joker. Some thoughts:
I've said it before and I'll say it again - this is my current favorite toyline. As a '66 fanatic, I feel McFarlane has crushed it, surpassing great prior efforts like the FTC line, and giving me more than I thought possible. My only worry is that it'll all eventually end.
My favorites from the last few waves are 70s animated Joker (you can practically hear that cartoony voice coming outta this thing), Nightwing, and Outer Space Batman. Off the top, I cannot recall if Batman went into space in the '66 comic, but he did in Return of the Caped Crusaders. If that's what this figure references, very cool. Pink Riddler is also fun, as is Alfred with his feather duster, and Bookworm is cool, but ... he's also taller than other characters like Egghead and Batman himself! Wasn't Roddy a lil' guy?
It looks like every figure will be a winner in the next wave, which includes Clock King (revealed as Mad Hatter's brother in the comics) and Wonder Woman. The 6-issue comics miniseries where Adam West Batman & Lynda Carter WW teamed up was, well, wonderful.
There are still plenty more characters from both the show and the comic they could make (though I understand some may be rights-restricted). But I'd love to see:
Mad Hatter
John Astin Riddler
Frank Gorshin Riddler in suit & bowler hat
False-Face*
Shame
Michael Rennie Sandman
Eli Wallach Freeze
Scarecrow
Harley (who was depicted as a roller derby girl)
Bane (a luchador)
Killer Croc
Solomon Grundy
Clayface*
Ra's al Ghul
Killer Moth
We'll see what, if anything, we get in the future!
(*Spoiler: they were one and the same in the comic!)Last edited by Count_Popula; Nov 13, '24, 1:54 PM.Comment

Wave 11 figures are great, except the red-suited Batman didn't do much for me. My favorite in Wave 11 is Wonder Woman. Also, the BatGirl cycle is fun. My remaining primary "wants" for this line are Mad Hatter, and Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson in street clothes (to go with the Wayne Manor library playset). Hoping the line continues with these wants and many other surprises.

Wave 11 Clock King fits in great with the line-up. I still haven't done anything with Superman, Wonder Woman, or Nightwing. I am not sure where to put them. Maybe in a separate display. I need room for the Batgirl Cycle... and the Batcycle and Bat-Boat too! I have a few ideas to expand the display using the Wayne Manor Library, but a street clothes Dynamic Duo set would go a long way with making that work. Mad Hatter and Shame would give this line the edge for character selection over FTC (Goons excepted).Comment

Agreed, but bear in mind he was hunched playing apes and as Bookworm he had the reading-hat and IIRC dress-boots.
Now I want to re-watch those episodes, they're great IMO. I'm kind of obsessed with Batman'66 costuming.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment
