8 inch Darth Vader?!

I've already scratched my hyper-real Vader itch with the ANH Hot Toys figure; I can't imagine adding another one to the pile. Now if these had come out around the same time... Sophie's choice.

^I agree, and then there's the much bigger issue...will whatever materials they're using for these seamless bodies hold up? I've heard nothing but horror stories about those types of bodies tearing at the joints as the material begins to deteriorate rather quickly.

I like it, but the seamless body seems like a weird choice for a figure covered head to toe in armor and clothes. All the joints would be covered by the uniform anyway if done Mego style.

Not Mego like. They have a rubber skin and a metal armature.

For $80 I'd hope for a little more polish. The cape is only partially hemmed, and his "chaps" are just cut fabric. I'd rather pay $20 more for a Bossart level figure.

I agree. The cape is supposed to have a strip along the bottom, and the helmet seems off to me somehow. For $80 they need to do better.

He's only 7" tall. Too short for Mego size.

According to this article on February 6, Darth Vader is likely to be 10.98" long. I could not track down the listing on walmart.com however.
