They announced Sudden Death Alien Soft Vinyl Figure
The 4″ tall Sudden Death Alien Soft-Vinyl Figure is cast in deep navy blue vinyl with blood-red splattered paint, and packaged in a deluxe cardboard window box, produced in collaboration by Super7 and Secret Base Japan.
Sudden Death is coming Thursday, May 7th, 12noon, PST, $50 each.

Plus, many of them are hand-cast, hand-pulled Japanese vinyl. Not sure if the Alien figure is hand-pulled, but a lot of the "boutique" places like Secret Base do employ this old school method. I'm not sure how many they make, but I would be surprised if these runs were over 100 pieces. 50 for Super7 and 50 for Secret Base.Leave a comment:

These tend to be limited run figures aimed at collectors, hence the high prices. On the other hand, mass market sofubi aimed at kids are dirt cheap, I saw a wall of Ultraman sofubi at a Japan Toys R Us for less than five bucks a pop.Leave a comment:
