I was in a TRU today and all the Reaction figures had been moved to a special four sided display with other Funko items. The "Big Trouble" figures were marked $6.99 while all the others are still $9.99.

I was really surprised to see them at TRU. My store hasn't had very many in stock since they began carrying them. I hope my B&N starts getting new stuff soon, they've been my main source, and I get the 10% discount for being a member.

I haven't seen any new Funko at TRU or Target. I asked at B&N and they said they will continue to get the new Funko figures.

    CCC.

Whether its a good income, or she just has a lot of other financial security, due to this news, I'm thinking she's apparently doing well as far as not needing any spare cash.

I agree 100%---so, yeah, I'd assume this was only done as some kind of business strategy, some kind of leverage for future similar projects where she may actually be more agreeable.

I don't understand why actors way past the point of working don't try to get a little change and publicity.

Such a shame, because that prototype had a really swell sculpt. And if you're a kid, you want to re-create the movie theater scene.

Now they owe us a Dick Miller figure to replace her.
Yikes! That doesn't bode well for Funko's upcoming Fast Times at Ridgemont High ReAction figures, either.

    What?

    She's the female-lead here.

I'd be curious to know why an actor pulls this kind of stuff....I mean, obviously it's a money-related issue---but it's just so hard for me to picture a reasonable answer to this, compared to, let's say, Craig's deal with Batman '66 which has GOT to have been a more nuanced scenario compared to a series of GREMLINS figures. Geesh.

For me, Bruce is as much a generic shark as Kong is a generic gorilla. He doesn't look like a normal shark, nor does he match the real shark footage shot by Ron and Valerie Taylor in the film. He's his own Movie Monster, and I do think Funko nailed it.
They did better than I thought they would, that's for sure.

That said, the shark I already have is good enough for me, so unless Funko's Bruce is dirt cheap, TRU's'll do for a while, if not permanently.

Please also note, that even though I was essentially proved wrong about the level of likeness their shark has, the big "get" for me in those TRU "shark/diver-explorer" sets I bought (besides the dirt cheap bargain) was the "shark cage" accessory, plus the other scuba accessories (some of which I'll cobble onto a Funko Hooper figure w/a little creative elbow grease!).

Also, I'd like to state for the record that I too have a great respect for the original JAWS film production----however, although I may be just as big a JAWS fan as the next guy (or even a bigger fan), that doesn't always translate into an attitude about JAWS merchandise that dovetails w/other fans---that's just "the nature of the beast"---so to speak
