I Have not seen these as much as I would like. I had my hands on the B&R 2 pack I found at a TRU, but thought the price was way to steep ($35) so I dropped it.
A few weeks later, I found a Riddler and a Batman at my Walmart a few weeks back. I saw them on the peg and the tag read $8.99. I looked the entire aisle and could not find the proper tag. So I pointed it out and got them for that price. Score!!
Today at a holiday type of store at the mall, I found a penguin which I bought for $22

So if the line is not doing well, they are hard to find. But then again this is Mattel we are talking about here, so maybe they have not put out as many as you would think.

I'm mad at my Wal-Mart. They've shrunk the size of their toy section. The action figure aisle is 3/4 of an aisle plus a half an aisle of Lego. And now the toy section is almost stripped. The Max Steel section is literally empty and the marvel and Star Wars sections are threadbare. Plus, the store is generally a mess. I'm starting to avoid Wal-Mart and they are going the way of Zayres if they aren't careful.

NJ Croce is coming out with a set of Batman 1966 Bendies in March. It's the same company that makes those retro-looking Justice League bendies and Gumby.

Oh, I might be able to snag a few at those prices.

Yeah, I got the first wave of Young Justice 3 3/4 inch figures on "clearance" for 2.50 each when the line had just been released like a month ago. There were several waves that hadn't even come out yet so that was obviously an omen.

There has been interest in the line here in Orlando. I live between two major shopping areas and can easily get to 2 ToysRUs, 3 Targets, and 4 Wal-marts. All of them got Batman '66 product and all of it pretty much sold out. Maybe it's international tourist taking them back to countries where they aren't available?

^Mattel's own unfortunate comments, and the fact that Amazon has the figures slashed to 1/4th the original price. But that may be a fluke on the Amazon thing. Mattel did their line no favors by having a spokesperson basically say the line had ended...when it hadn't.

I don't know where the idea that the Mattel Batman '66 stuff isn't doing well has come from. I saw (actually had in hand) one Batman and Robin box set and unfortunately didn't get it. I never saw another one. Wal-mart got the first wave. It sold out. They got more. It sold out. Currently one walmart near me only has two Riddlers. I've never even seen a Batmobile.

Batman '66 is one of those almost evergreen shows. I wasn't around for the original showings or the '70s craze. But I've seen it in reruns and such and I would be collecting the Mattel line if I had more money.

Well, for one thing...you can only watch movies and TV on Youtube as long as they allow it. Videos can be yanked at any time for copyright violations. Once I buy a DVD...it's mine to watch whenever I feel like it.

Well the picture quality would be a lot higher. Also, all the versions floating around on the internet have several minutes cut from them to make room for more commercials. So, with DVDs we could get them complete and uncut.
