That's the Medicom RAH Comic version. It's got a slight anime look to it, and leaned towards McFarlane, but was super pose-able. Also the best Venom IMHO. A steal at the time of release for only $100 (which might have seemed ridiculously high a few years ago).

still going for some fairly reasonable prices...

Hot Toys is a great leap forward from Medicom's Movie Spidey figures as well, which again at the time were top end.

Oddly, something about the familiar red and blue that I don't particularly care for....

Maybe it's because it looks like there's a little too much play in the fabric or the webbing on the suit looks sorta white while the spider on his chest is just flat black...?

Those are awesome figures though. I wouldn't mind a Toby/red-blue Spidey by Hot Toys!

The Franco likeness is awesome as well.

Amen! I think many more will find appreciation for part 3 after the new one comes out. Sure, the story could have been better, especially after part 2, but at least we still had the stellar cast. Apparently Sony thinks that is interchangeable...NOT!

looks like fun. I am pretty fond of the Medicom version that Sideshow sold when the movie was released. I really liked the red/blue version as well, tho I was disappointed in the lack of hand poses-choices.
