    SDCC MOTU Origins getting build a figure refresh

    Boxed instead of carded and build a figure instead of mini comics. Going back to the card back art and concept art.

      The bodies have been retooled to support more modularity by allowing the legs to be swapped out now. I noticed He-Man's new head sculpt looks more like the vintage toy now as well.

          I saw a carded MOTU Origins He-Man at Target that had the vintage-like head sculpt too. I wish the one I bought 6 years ago had that!

          These new ones look nice. It's a good idea to refresh the line and put the "retired" characters back out. Adding the BAF is a good incentive too.

              To be fair, they did re-release the Origins He-Man with that head years ago too. It came a couple waves in after the first release.

              FWIW, I much prefer the original release head that you didn't like. I loved the idea of Origins being a revamp of the classic line, but with new designs sprinkled in, etc. I freaking love that He-Man head... But sort of like GI Joe Classified, fans want stuff that is basically 100% retro designed with some new stuff alongside it.

              I like this wave and the BAF, but I've cut back my Origins spending because there's a lot of product and I'm not as compelled as I used to be.
