Captain Action Collecting in 2026

Is anyone still actively collecting Captain Action, either Ideal, Playing Mantis or Round2?

I saw some nude Ideal Captain Action figures for sale at the recent GI Joe Toy expo in Shepherdsville, KY last month. Every dealer who had one was asking $100 for them. None seemed to be selling.

I have a vintage set I want, but I seldom look for it, too $$$.

I don't buy much of the new stuff, although there's not much "new" happening. There's little vintage 1960's stuff I'm still looking for, but if I see something need or want to do an upgrade I will consider picking it up depending on the price.

$100 for a nude figure is tough, I wouldn't pay that much for him, especially when you can use a PM figure and it works just as well.

For new, the coolest thing I've seen is the new NECA Captain Action figure Ben Cooper style figures. I ended up with an extra set of these and have them for sale at a discount if you are interested along with the cool Star Trek, and massively cool Mars Attacks costume as well. These are top notch!

Danny, I agree. But it seems everything for sale at a toy show is made of solid gold LOL. About a year ago, I bought a large CA body parts lot from someone in one of the CA Facebook groups for less than $200. I was able to build four complete figures from it, as well as complete a couple other figures I already had. I did have to replace a lot of broken forearm pegs with nylon pegs from Cotswold, but they work just fine.

If anyone needs any CA torsos, pelvises or heads that have significant paint rubs or stains on the face I still have some parts left over, so let me know.
