What was the name of this 70's sub toy ?

    I just had a 70's flash-back .......

It was a 70's toy that was a yellow (I think) submarine in a huge plastic test-tube looking thing.

It stood about a foot tall (maybe a little more)

You fill this tube with water ....... and the sub inside floats at the top....

To make the sub dive, (I think) you squeeze the tube .....

You can make the sub dive down to the bottom and pick up objects ... The sub had a hook on the bottom.

    Anyone remember this toy ?

I remember having a choice of getting this thing or the Mego Bridge ......
Idiot that I am, I chose this thing --- which I got bored with in about a minute

Good thing was, I got the bridge a few weeks later anyway

      No, it wasn't that....
What i'm thinking of would fit in a clear plastic tube about the roundness of a drinking class.

That's gotta be the Sea Diver game. When you squeeze the tube the diving bell decends and the claw underneath opens, when you release the pressure the claw closes. Pick up stuff off the bottom and bring it to the top, I've got one.

Looked for years and could never remember the actual name. Finally stumbled on this one in a thrift store unopened, so I still can't play with it, but I do have one.

Yeah, I guess it is kinda lame on the thrill-o-meter, but I liked it. The Kenner sub reminded me of an old cereal premium I also had fun with for a few minutes.

Thanks for the memories, Mike. I had completely forgotten about that toy.

And Beatnik, I almost dropped $30 to grab a Cap'n Crunch baking soda sub. I came to my senses, but I loved that.

I was thinking about that sub game a few days ago. I had a blast with that as a kid

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?
