I've never let the "space" issue deter me from getting something.
(I think I can hear my wife sighing in the background )

When I see something cool, and I can afford it, I just go for it.
To be honest, I'm slowly getting rid of the smaller stuff, and focusing on larger items. I may end up with just four or five life-size collectibles...

Anybody got an R2-D2 or Tusken Raider? I need those two to complete my collection.

Big question at this point (AFAIC) is what they're going to charge!!!

I like the Wampa character enough---but NOT enough to buy GG's. And, frankly, proportions don't have all that much to do with it.

    Here's some pontification on this:
Not that I'd buy it for sure, but I'd certainly buy an out-of-proportion jumbo Kenner Jabba at four-hundred bucks before I touched that Wampa for even $170.

I know it'll sound cliché, but I'll say it anyway: After all these years buying toys, I've learned that "what you like" is THE biggest factor in "wasting"/"investing" money in toys.

I just don't have ENOUGH love for the SW GG line, and, more vitally I think, I don't have enough of that love or nostalgia for the original Kenner Wampa

I was astonished as well. I thought the line would die out early at those prices. If the line would've died, I would've had a totally different outlook on picking these up.

But, in the same vein as my feelings about if ArtFX Aquaman isn't released, when I saw the big selection of GG SW characters, I was ready to buckle---and then when I saw that the GG SW 3-pack in this thread was announced, I had a breath of hope that I'd save a decent amount of bucks getting three figures that I'd put ALL of up at the top of my GG SW "want list". So, I got into the line.

An, yes, I think it'll look similar to that vintage packaging samurai---take a look at the droids 3-pack that they've already done---that will also clue you in on what this villains 3-pack of jumbos will likely look like.

I'm going to assume that the packaging (not shown) will be similar to this? Have they announced/shown what the box will look like for these three?

Frankly, as a child, I would've thought ANYTHING "Star Wars" was cool---but, as an adult, the only thing appealing about these is the nostalgia of loving the regular size ones of these that I had and played with as a kid... otherwise, the price is OUTRAGEOUS... might as well buy the modern jumbo SW ones in TOYS R US if you're just into the "fun" "play" aspect of 'em---what are they---like, $15 or something

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE these figures---and, that's why I'll pay the price, but, even I, one of their biggest fans, has to say they are way overpriced, if it weren't for the nostalgia.

I sort of want all of these in this line, sadly no room for them and the price keeps me from doing impulse buys on them. Although I do have one....
