Kenner Star Wars for me. For Sequel films few people seem to like the added interest sure hasn't hurt the vintage figures. I had a tough time selling mine in 2013 but now Yoda's cane is going for $20.

    OMG yes.
I've often almost bought a piece that really grabbed my attention. But I know my collecting proclivities.
Too many options, too much money.

Growing up I had over 100 "monster dolls", what collectors are calling sofubi, but got rid of the majority back then (70's!). All I have left from back then is my modest henshin cyborg collection.

The idea of collecting monster dolls again pops into my head every now and then, first time was in the late 90's when companies like Marmit started doing them. But I've so far resisted.
Increasing my Henshin Cyborg stuff also pops into my head, but I have a desire only to add a few items, such as the Android characters, and maybe the Shounen Cyborg accessory packs or Cyborg Jaguar outfits.

Henshin Cyborg is another line that I really like but don't really have the space or money for. But yeah, still cheaper than Jumbos (non-US ones), you'd need to get a second mortgage on your house, and have a lot of patience, in order to build up a good collection of them.

Yeah some of those are especially pricey. I will say that Henshin Cyborg is easier than the Jumbo Machinder line, those things are insanely priced. I have all of the US version Shogun line except for Rodan and lust over all of the Japan versions and stuff available over the pond.

I collect Star Wars Unboxed/UnCarded. Have to be in Played with condition. To me, if it hasnt been played with, I dont want it. I have almost every toy, not all complete, but thats the thrill of the hunt. If you only search for Carded stuff, Its expensive and hard to find.
I also collect, Battle Star, Buck Rogers, and any other 70-80 Space Toys. (Dont tell the Wife, but also Master of the Universe)

Now, I have always been kind of scared of collecting Matchbox/Hot Wheels, seems like there is sooo many varations, and remakes. Where to begin.
12" GI JOES and Vintage Barbies are also in this category.

DC Direct 7'' DC figures after a few years the loose figures began crumbling piece by piece
sitting in storage boxes at room temp. Finally decided to sell the whole collection
and never regretted it. Even New figures right out of package would lose parts

If what it says when it talks is anything that resembles the quote on the front of the box? Then I'm all for it. Next thing you know, it'll be advocating other reasonable ideas

Back in the 90's, I tried to collect any vintage toy line that sparked my interest from when I was a kid...Gi Joe, Big Jim, 6 Million Dollar Man, Hot Wheels, etc...Then I got into Marvel characters and started collecting carded figures...Then I had a big collection of Hot Toys figures...It all became too much...So I got rid of most everything and now just concentrate on GI Joe and a FEW Hot Toys figures...It really does become overwhelming if you let it...

Comic Action Heroes. They're just so expensive for minty ones.
