Wow I had never seen some of those proposed toylines before. I remember watching one of the V movies where they had the kids playing with the toy spaceship, hoping then that it was going to actually come out.

if it means anything at all, at least thanks to Toynami we finally got some sort of Thundarr figures back in 2003

    Hey There!
Thanks for posting those AWESOME pictures of the V-visitors figures set. Gee, I loved that damn show and just purchased ALL the dvd sets except for the new show which was a travesty but would have loved seeing a Jane Badler and June Chadwick set not to mention, the entire Rebellion as led by Marc Singer! Thundarr is just too much of a classic cartoon,I adored that one too. I finally got those reMego KISS 12 inch figures and the 8in versions as well. There's a picture floating around from an Argentinian fan who created a set of the V command post from the actual show. He just created an entire diorama of the mothership's inside with the Visitors aboard...amazing

You betcha! To this day, I dream of Thundarr figures, of whatever format.

Oddly, I do not have the Toonami ones...

    Hmmmm....

It DOES seem weird that Thundarr figures were never made, but I'm thinkin' that's a matter of timing. Thundarr came out at a time when cartoons were stand-alone things. It wasn't until a few years later that every cartoon HAD to have a toy tie-n to be considered viable. (Orbots toys would have been good too....)

It's too bad that Thundarr never got made. I could have done without Ookla, but I REALLY wanted something like Thundarr and Princess Ariel.

The V toys are a no brainer. If they had been properly made in Mego scale, even if not by Mego, I would have bought them all.

Totally agree with the list. Never understood as a kid why Thundaar toys werent made. I would have really liked them MOTU scale but smaller would have been fine by me as long as there was a cool playset or two.
V was one of my favorite shows in the mid-eighties, you would have thought it would have been popular enough for a toyline.

Precisely! That was like product placement! Can't believe those never materialized. Talk about leaving money on the table.

Good news about the ALIEN Super7 figures. Need those.

I had heard they made molds based on the prototypes they had on hand. Is there a pre-order for these somewhere with Super 7? I don't buy much new stuff, but would buy these and don't want to miss out on them.

Thundarr toys would have been great and V would have sold pretty good I think.

From what I've read, they made new molds based on photos of the prototypes. They didn't have direct access to the prototypes themselves, and I don't think the original molds even exist anymore. Or did I misread this?

If it was released today I would buy most of the items in the 10 ten. I'm still holding out hope for a V line. Give us a spaceship!

Anyone know if the Kenner Alien figures are still going to be released? Last SDCC somebody had the original molds and was all set to make them.

Thundarr would have been a no-brainer for me, I loved that show! Gold Key/Whitman was supposed to have issued a comic book of it, released in the final 'three pack bags only' days. And in those pre-internet days it stayed listed in various price guides for years- man, I looked for that everywhere until finally it was de-listed and written off as never having been published.
I did find the thundarr board game a couple years ago though.

Man from Atlantis was another one I would have bought too. A Mr. Schubert figure...priceless!

V was THE talk of the school yard when it hit. Had toys been available at the time, Galoob's stock would have went WAY up.

I would have killed for Thundarr toys. As much as I loved He-Man, I didn't like all the knock-offs Remco and others did. I think I would have preferred the 3.75" figures Mego was going for.

Its great to see what couldve of been, but sad at the same time. I wonder if U picked these lines up now, would they cost U a lot for the licence, and would there be a market to recreate them. Shame on the "alien" line, "logans run" Ill just go and cry in the corner.
