I have tried to stay away from this line for a long time. But, I love it. Still have my original LR and Tonto. I love the wooden European playsets. Here is that Ready Gang Town taken over by other LR knockoffs.

From what I've seen prices look like this:
Lone Ranger - loose incomplete $15-25, complete no box $40, with box $60+, mib over $120. Hard to find loose and complete ones. Usually missing mask and often guns.
Tonto - prices are about the same but finding a decent one is harder. They never seem to have the headband and feather. The velour outfit is usually damaged.
Butch cavendish - doesn't seem in as high of demand. More often find him complete and good ones with boxes are around $50
I haven't been tracking the other figures.
The horses used are pretty cheap $20.

You've done a beautiful job cleaning these figures--they look new!

I have the (very solid!) Gabriel Dodge City playset, thanks to member Rob. It is an awesome European-released item, which I use with my Mego American West figures.

But I don't have LR figures yet...

How do LR figures compare with Matchbox Fighting Furies, price-wise? I collected a set of Furies last year & am curious.

I still have SMDM items, too...two version 1 Steve Austin's with the engine block. The one is in great shape and even has the original rubber/skin on the bionic arm. I'll have to take some pictures of them, too.

Your collection is awesome! I am on the hunt for a better Tonto, and any of the figures with boxes....not mib. You are correct. The town playset was from the Marx Ready Gang line. It's a pretty rare item. I have seen a catalog page that actually shows this town with the Gabriel LR figures. My figures spent a good bit of time having bar fights, robbing the bank, and busting out of jail.

Great restoration on the figures!!! I too had a Lone Ranger and Tonto. We had the show in syndication locally and I was a fan, So when the figures came out it was an easy choice for that Christmas. Sadly I think Tonto was the first to go as he lost a hand then leg. The Lone Ranger followed Broken leg mostly. I think the last bit I had was one of the six shooters for the figures. I remember using it in an art project in art school. I think that s when it disappeared.

I have a bunch more. The play set is partially seen behind my Tex Dawson figure. These are what I had loaded to my photo bucket account. I'll have to load some more.

Yeah, I think that was it. They also used Lincoln Logs to build more houses for the town.

Thanks Ian. I like your avatar and tagline. I had (past tense) the Emergency truck, John and Roy growing up. I still have Roy, but somehow he is a weird combination of LJN and Mego body parts. Not sure when that happened. I still have the SWAT headquarters, too. Probably going to sell that one since I don't have any other SWAT items.

I'm still not satisfied with Tonto's suit. I used ivory liquid on it. Anybody have any other suggestions that wouldn't cause the fuzzy to peel off?
