I'll try to dig him up and get some pictures. Just imagine a DareDevil in black with his cane removed.

I've seen some of these Mexician knock offs with thin vinyl capes that appear to be cut for a cheap plastic shower curtain. My Batman came with one in baby blue.
Thanks guys for answering my question about the dark red Mexico set.
Do you have a good pic of Batman? I'd love to see it!

I may paint him now. I've been itching to, with all that scale male detail!

They seem to go for $10-20 range for reissues. Paint it if you want. If I remember right you will need a primer to get paint to stick.

OK a few more cool KO pics from Mexico
Rhino, me am Hulk no ... I uhhhh RHINO, yeah that's it Rhino!

Creature from Black Lagoon and other Monster

I just picked up a full set this weekend of the red Mexican versions... They all have made in Mexico stickers on the bottom. Very cool.

Those are really neat Neutron X thanks for sharing.

Yes Thor ,Iron Man, Spiderrman, Daredevil,Hulk, and Captain America. Daredevil sometimes had a broken cane.

"Varying quality"? That's putting it nicely. Have you ever seen a Catwoman?

Is Catwoman in the 3rd pic? Wasn't sure if it's Batgirl.
Here are some pics of Mexico's mysteries I found on the web:]
    Kaliman & Santo

    Gator Man & Daredevil

    Batgirl or Catwoman?

    Vulture

    Blackbolt

OMG, I hear you. An early ebay lesson: No matter how cheap the auction is, know your top price in advance.
I found an ebay auction for a painted set, (dirt cheap) about 8 years ago. Through out the week it stayed low. At the end, I thought I was gonna walk away with this treasure for next to nothing. Then the bids started coming in. I freaked. 'What's this? It's the last minutes and I don't know what to do'. Worse, I never considered the max I would pay. It closed at $38. I'm still crying today.
