What I really miss is the Wonder Bread Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica cards. It is too bad they they stopped putting those in with the bread. On the other hand though at least all of the bread is in tact now and now ripped open in the stores any more. LOL!! -
Thinking about going to this card show this weekend...never been to it before, but since they moved it to Allentown I might give it a try, see if I can complete a couple sets:

I collected so many cards back then... primarily Star Wars, all the way from the blue border series, to red, and all the others.
And also Superman: The Movie, CE3K, The Black Hole, Alien, Battlestar Galactica, Jaws 2, Empire Strikes Back, Raiders, E.T... etc.Leave a comment:

Well for me I think the Partridge Family were the first that I really collected along with Wacky Packages. After that it was almost everything:
Star Trek ( 1976 )
Star Wars
Charlie's Angels
Superman The Movie
Empire Strikes Back
Hulk tv series
A-Team
Superman 2
Return of the Jedi
Battlestar Galactica
Batman ( the 1st movie )
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
King Kong
Almost everything is gone now. My collecting ended during the Return of the Jedi. Those were good times and I've been thinking about them recently myself and was think about doing a post about them. It was so much fun being able to go to a local Mom & Pop store and pick up a pack of cards, sports or non sports for .15 -.35 cents a pack. Now-a-days IF you can find cards being sold somewhere, they cost $2.00 - 3.00 a pack - the fun of being a kid is gone, it's a collector world now in cards and toys.Leave a comment:

My mom was notoriously cheap and wouldn't buy those for me. Then when I was a teen, my little sister went through a love affair with E.T. and wanted all the trading cards,...and mom started buying them! I cried foul and mom also bought E.T.trading cards for me. It didn't really make up for the lack of KISS or Star Wars cards a few years before. But I still have my entire set of E.T. cards tucked away in a drawer.Leave a comment:

Wow! There was lots that I collected and bought and still have to this day.
Here is a small list just to name a few off the top of my head. Not even including sports cards of course.
I collected and bought most of mine mainly in the 70's and 80's when I was a kid. I can still remember to this day going to the flea market every weekend and going to particular stands "card dealers" and paying .15 to .35 a pack for cards. Those were the days.
Star Wars
KISS
Charlies Angels
Closed Encounters
Battlestar Galactica
The Incredible Hulk
The Black Hole
Jaws
James Bond - Moonraker
Superman
Dukes of Hazzard
A- Team
Planet of The Apes
Star Trek - The Motion picture
I even collected Elvis for my Mom for whom was a big fan.Leave a comment:
