great card.
Don't recall seeing pocket heroes when I was a kid, I'd definitely be interested in them though. The great thing about them is you could use a wide assortment of figures from other lines as villians, whereas my Calibos didn't really hang with my Joes, I could see spidey webbing his ***.

Popy released the Mego versions of Superman, Batman and Spidey as a part of their "TV Hero Series" line of 8" figures in Japan. The Popy Spidey I'm talking about is this larger one with a buttload of accessories in a large window box. This figure has a completely different construction compared to Megos. The Popy Spidey figure on Lou's site is identical to the US version, just the packaging is different. Confused yet? There was also a Batman and Superman Popy, as you can see here M E G O L I K E . c o m :Popy: Mego Ultraman : collectible action figure gallery
I have never seen that Popy box before tho, only the one in the link

He comes with tons of cool accessories, has a grappling hook in his right hand and a missile launcher in his left hand, not even close to comic book accurate but cool in a way that only Japanese toys are. He was released in conjunction with the Japanese live action TV show.
Here's a pic of mine so you can see what he looks like. He's second from the left, with his box behind him.

Great looking card. I never had the pleasure of getting those as a kid, but I really like the look of those figures.Leave a comment:

I think it was $225. A nice price for such an amazingly awesome toy.

I just got a cheap AHI ape and a cool Battle for the Planet of the Apes comic and record set. I got there a couple hours after the show started but Brian and his friend still had some cool stuff for sale. I would have snagged his Popy Spider-man for sure if I hadn't recently finally found one. No C.B. McHaul though, I was highly disappointed.

Me too.
Brian was nice enough to help me fill in some of the holes in my PS cards set at the show yesterday, including the Pocket Superheroes card, which is really cool with the denim and everything.

Yeah, that is cool. I have a complete collection of MM Cards, but my PlaidStallions cards are somewhat haphazard. Need to get on the ball.Leave a comment:
