Loved the He-Man line as a kid. Never could get my parents to buy me the Greyskull playset. I liked the Blackstarr cartoon but thought the figures were cheesy. I had a lot of the Dungeons and Dragons toys. Sold them all on the bay a year or two back. Made some good money too.

I used to see them all the time at a place called Bargain Harold's, now I never see them.

Great list Brian. I was into He-Man from the get-go, before the TV series, and even the DC comics mini-series. I was quite shocked when the Prince Adam element was introduced, but that super-heroic aspect made me like it that much more. I had a few Blackstar figures, and I remember liking the show quite a bit. I always kind of felt that maybe He-Man ripped him off a bit, since his show came first. The figures were really superior to MOTU in a lot of ways. I had a few Warlords, but could never find Travis Morgan/Warlord. Bummer.

A kid up the street hand The Other World castle (Zando, maybe?) and some D&D and Dragon Rider figures. The winged devil guy from that line was really cool, and a great adversary for my pocket megos.

    Chris

My kid half-brother and nephew (about 6 months apart in age), were all about He-Man and Sectaurs back in the 80s.
