^ I have been madly trying to save for another ticket to US, but it's not looking real hopeful right now :(

It would be great to have both of you there. If both of you can't attend I still hope one of you makes it to the show. Please join us.

Whoaaaa! Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. I only sent this suggestion in to DaveMC this week. If we do a sit down with sculptors I would like to see the block of time devoted to sculpting. I don't think you'll get the best bang for your buck if everyone sits down to sculpt for and then they have to clear out after 30 minutes so casting can begin. If it gets the go-ahead I'd like to see it conducted like an Art class where people have time to do their thing.

If you want to see other workshops perhaps we could request another block of time devoted to casting too. Perhaps instead of lecture heavy maybe MM 2011 can have more workshops. We'll have to see what gets decided.

That's a great idea. Film it in stages and put it on youtube or something. Link it to the custom section here.

Is there no one else into this? I think it would be a blast to sit with other sculptors and try to hash out some heads. Is there anyone else interested? Any further suggestions?

Mego Meet Sculptors Roundtable for 2011?

As a suggestion for Mego Meet this year why not take a 2-hour block of time & have sculptors sit in the lecture room and do some sculpting. For people who would like to sculpt but never took a stab at it you can participate & try to sculpt; or watch others. This would also encourage people to bring all the tools they use to the event and exchange methods and techniques. Allow everyone to bring reference for the subjects they want to attempt to sculpt. This is not a contest. No pressure to finish, no limit on how many heads you want to attempt or if you even want to do maybe a different body torso or something.
